Cryogenic Scientist

Lead application and product related research and development projects. You will initiate new product concepts and ideas and work collaboratively with marketing and end users to identify needs and develop innovative new products and design solutions. You will participate in the complete development life cycle and analyze current programs including performance, diagnosis and troubleshooting of issues and provide solutions.
Develop new and improved analysis methods to support both existing and potential future products.
Apply your knowledge of design principles and engineering technique to development efforts

YOU MUST HAVE
U.S. citizenship required in order to obtain and maintain government security clearance
PhD in Physics, Engineering or related field (or PhD degree expected within the next six months)
5 years of experience with cryogenics principles, systems, and standard techniques (Graduate work inclusive)
WE VALUE
Formal background with experiments requiring cryogenic temperatures in topics such as, condensed matter or high energy physics
Proven track record of working with systems investigating fundamental physical phenomena
Demonstrated experience with modeling, simulation tools, and analytical techniques in related fields
Demonstrated experience and innovation in the design, construction, and/or operation of cryogenic equipment
Experience with wet and/or dry cryogenic systems
Experience working with high and ultra-high vacuum equipment
Experience with vibrational analysis and the design of systems involving constraints on acoustic noise levels
As a top candidate, you will have strong organizational, leadership skills, and be good at working and negotiating with customers, partners, and colleagues
Excellent written and oral communication skills
